The calories, as we know, are necessary for our body to carry out all our daily activities. Our body is constantly burning them and, of course, the more activity we do, the more calories we will burn.

When we decide to go on a low-calorie diet for the purpose of losing weight, it is important to know how many calories we burn in each of the activities we carry out.
One of the ideal activities to lose weight and improve health at the same time is dancing. The fact of dancing causes a lot of calories to be spent, so it will help us greatly in our goal, as long as we combine it with a proper and balanced diet.
As we can guess, however, we do not consume the same calories at all dances. To get an idea, we present below the amounts that our body burns when practicing dance:
Sauce: 250 to 400 calories per hour.
Classical ballet: 400 to 500 calories per hour.
Zumba: 500 to 800 calories per hour.
Flamenco: 150 to 350 calories per hour
Belly dance: 200 to 300 calories per hour.
African dances: 450 to 600 calories per hour.
Ballroom dancing such as bolero, swing, fox-trot, and the like: 400 calories per hour.
