December 17, 2020 by Daniel Johnson Leave a Comment

According to Harvard University, biking at a moderate speed of 12 to 13.9 miles per hour will cause a 155-pound person to burn 298 calories in a half-hour. At a faster rate of 14 to 15.9 miles per hour, an individual of an equivalent weight will burn 372 calories.

Going for a walk with the bicycle is one of the most beautiful things in life since you can breathe some fresh air, clear your head and above all, improve your health. For those who do not know, riding a bicycle is one of the most practical ways to burn calories, but it depends on the speed at which we ride. If you want to have a healthy life, it is recommended to ride a bicycle for 30 minutes a day, calmly, and in this way, you can burn several calories without so much effort.

Another thing that must be taken into account to know how many calories you burn weight. For people who are slightly overweight, calories can be burned more easily. To give you an idea, riding your bike at a speed between 12 and 14 mph knowing that you weigh 155 pounds will burn approximately 298 calories. Now, if the same person accelerates to between 14 and 16 mph and pedals for 30 minutes, he can burn about 372 calories.

For those people who do not like to go to the gym, riding a bicycle is one of the best ways, since it helps you burn calories, strengthen muscles, and above all, it does not hurt your joints.
